Common Mistakes That Can Delay a Canadian Immigration Application
Most delays are avoidable. Here are the mistakes we see most often, and how to avoid them.
1. Inconsistent information
Dates, addresses, and job titles that don't match across forms and documents raise flags and invite extra scrutiny.
2. Missing or outdated documents
Police certificates and medical exams expire. Submitting an application with an expired document can mean starting the review over.
3. Underestimating processing times
Applying too close to a deadline (a permit expiry, a job start date) leaves no room for delays that are outside anyone's control.
